This is the official IC thread for Yu-Gi-Oh! Broken Destiny. Broken Destiny is a Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG-based roleplay, possibly with some connections and of the anime series. It is based in Chiba, Japan and will revolve around a prestigious school newly established for young talented duelists called the Academy for Gifted Young Duelists.

The Academy for Gifted Young Duelists, or AGYD for short, is a newly established academy for young duelists who have shown exceptional potential and proficiency as duelists early in life. AGYD is located in Chiba, Japan near the border of Chiba and Tokyo. It was created by the Founder as a place for budding duelists to strengthen their skills and become the best duelists around. However, a decent percentage of AGYD's students were accepted not based on their skill, but on their parents' generous donations to the school. The Founder is currently unaware of this corruption in his staff. This is the academy's first year, so some things may be hectic and possibly go wrong, but all enrolled can expect to have a great experience here.

The Academy for gifted Young Duelists is different from most academies because it does not revolve around typical classes, such as arithmetic, science, writing, etc. Instead, all of its classes are based on a card game called Duel Monsters. First year classes include Theory of Duel Monsters, Deck-building 101, Strategy Creation 101, Practical Use of Duel Monsters in Everyday Life, among others. AGYD's staff consists of the world's top adult duelists. Their goal as instructors is to pass on their findings and secrets to the next generation of great duelists.

Students are given a Standard Structure Deck, as created by the Founder himself, and are only allowed to use this deck in their school-related activities. They will be able to modify these decks with booster packs, which they will earn through dueling. They will receive one pack per duel won. Students will also have the chance to earn more boosters with Duel Points, or DP. DP is earned through dueling, and are awarded on events in a duel, such as winning or losing, how many monsters were summoned, how many magic and trap cards were used, just to name a few.

The Academy for Gifted Young Duelists is located in Chiba, Japan, near the Tokyo border. The campus is surrounded with trees and various other vegetation. There are six buildings to the campus. The building that is first visible upon arriving at AGYD is the main building, which is where classes are held. It is a two-story building, with at least twenty rooms on each floor. There is a total of five more buildings behind the school. Two of these are located to the far left and far right of the school. They look identical to one another, and both have a dome-shaped top. The one to the right of the main building is marked, "Arena." This is where the majority or organized duels for the school are held. This includes tournaments, midterms and finals, and club-held tournaments. The arena is capable of holding about a thousand students. The building to the left of the main building is marked, "Assembly Hall." This is where all major announcements are announced to the students. The assembly hall is capable of holding close to a thousand students. In the far back of the campus are the last three buildings, each marked, "Dorms." These co-ed dormitories can hold close to a thousand students.

Our story begins here, in the city of Chiba, located in the Chiba prefecture in the Asian nation of Japan. The date is Monday April 6th, 2009, which is the first day ever for this newly established academy for dueling. Classes begin at nine in the morning and end at three in the afternoon. For the first day, however, the Founder has allowed a short day with classes beginning at ten in the morning and ending at noon. The second and third day of classes have also been shortened to nine in the morning to one in the afternoon. This has been authorized so the students can become familiar with the campus and staff, as well as the rest of their fellow students. Students are allowed to travel off-campus on a daily basis, allowing students to hold jobs in the nearby area, but must return before ten at night, or else they will be locked out of the campus.

It's 10 in the morning. The room is filled with the mindless chatter of young students. The air has some sort of comforting feeling to it but at the same time, kind of makes you want to throw up. A strong sense of competition fills the atmosphere and people keep talking about Duel Monsters. Such is the scene in a class of the Academy for Gifted Young Duelists (AGYD for short). But I keep getting this strange feeling.........

A loud screeching noise is heard and a voice starts announcing something over the speaker system. Taka then snaps out of his deep thought. He looks around him, looking as if someone was about to attack. Taka then hears the voice coming from the speaker system. "Oh. It's just the speaker system" Taka mutters to himself quietly. Well, no time to dawdle. I must go back to my analysis. Just as Taka was about to go back into deep thought, the classroom door slams open and a teacher walks in for morning classes. "Good morning everyone!" proclaims the teacher in a confident voice. "I'm Mikoto Satonaka and I'll be your homeroom teacher from now on." Everyone then greets Ms. Satonaka a good morning with the exception of Taka who doesn't feel like talking too much.

Here comes the "first day" routine. She'll start checking attendance first. "Okay! First I'll start checking attendance."Ms. Satonaka exclaims. Knew it. Now, she'll ask each student to state his or her name and interests when she calls them. "Takaheshi Arisato" says Ms. Satonaka, prompting Taka to stand up. "Tell us your name and interests" Predictable. Taka then stands up and says in a very emotionless manner: "I am Takaheshi Arisato. I am not interested in anything." Taka sits down while the other students start talking among themselves. Hmmmph. Such primitive behavior. "Um okay. Moving on. I think I'll call.............

While Mikoto Satonaka takes attendance, at the same time in the city of Chibi, Japan at the alley behind two buildings. There in the distance you could see a someone with a dark mask, the eyes on the mask lighting all red like a ferocious demon, wearing a dark, long cape, and a white common shirt, with dark blue pants and common shoes. Below the duelist is another duelist lying unconscious on the floor. He starts to speaks and says, "Hm it appears you aren't that better than me." He then squats down to get the guy's duel disk. He takes the duel disk and gets the deck. He looks at the deck and takes out a card. "A duelist that loses is not worthy to have such a rare card." "I'll just take this from you." said the masked duelist. "Your deck is worthless." He puts back the deck and places it in the duel disk an puts it down. "You will never threaten anyone anymore!" He raises his foot and squashes his duel disk. "HaHaHaHa!!!!!" laughs wickedly and then leaves. But then his deck was glowing with a purple aura. He gets his deck and sees that one of his cards is glowing. He grabs it and turns it over and sees it's his RED EYES DARKNESS METAL DRAGON and then all of a sudden he hears a roar. In a flash of light, he sees some duelists wearing different uniforms and then sees another duelist and that duelist has a different aura then him. Then another flash of light flashes. He is back at the alley. "Who was that? It is my next opponent but whoever it is? I will win!" But back at the classroom, taka also heard the a roar in his head. But thinking it was nothing, he goes back at doing what he does.

"Futetzu Shira." Zu could hear a voice in his ear. "Is it you mother?" Whispered Zu. He began to open his eyes. An outline of a woman stood before him. Zu started to get tears in his eyes. "Mom, it really is you!" Cried he. He began to hear laughter, and suddenly he came to awareness. In front of him stood his teacher Ms. Satonaka. "Mr. Shira! What imagery do you favor? Sleeping in my hours? It may be that you come from a noble family, but rank does nothing! Sleeping in my hours?"
"Excuse me Miss! Shall never happen again," he shouted as he closed his eyes. The hole class is looking at me! What shall I do!. Auto Zu started getting hot cheeks. Now the class began laugh yet more. Zu open his eyes to see how many laughed. There was only one who didnt laugh. At least there is one who dont laugh... . "So we'll start again. Mr. Shira. Tell us your name and interests." He closed his eyes when he heard Ms. Satonaka voice. "My name is Futetzu Shira! I like to play Duel Monsters and I love frogs," he said with eyes still closed. "Let's Continue ...". Puhhhh. I already made me a laughing stock on the first day ....

Standing just outside the gates of AGYD's main building, Suki, who had been doing so, with a rather dull look present on his face, seems to scowl, before speaking. Presumably to himself, seeing as how no one else was around.

"Such.. a dull place.."

Suki's tone seemed to dwindle as he spoke, though such was nearly impossible for anyone who wasn't near him to hear. He spoke of course, whilst maneuvering his right hand's fingers loosely within the mess of honey blonde hair, he had allowed to hang to his shoulders not minutes before-- a mistake he had come to regret, as he ran his fingers through it, and noticed how messy it had gotten form his jog to the building. Obviously, he had no wish of going anywhere, anytime soon, but did so anyway, and slowly opened the door making his first entrance into the place his dear mother had sent him to. Once inside however, Suki's tone only seemed to dampen, as once more, he was reminded of the terrible truth, had he made a mistake accepting the terms his mother had set? Nonetheless, he seems to curse sullenly to himself, as he makes his way to his first class.

Mina Marion stares at the vast number of chattering students all around her. She is suppose to go to class. She has always been tutored and had instructors go and pay attention only to her back at home, this is something she is not used to.

Where am I suppose to go? What am I suppose to do? Who am I going to meet?

Thoughts swirled around and around in her head. It already feels overwhelming. Mina clutches on to the pendant her father and mother gave her before Mina was escorted by limo to AGYD. She felt safe holding onto it and felt she wasn't so alone.

Gazing left, she sees a few male students laughing loudly and patting each other. Gazing right she sees a few female students looking into compact mirrors and giggling uncontrollably as a tall and blonde, prince-like student passes by.

Mina lets out a huge sigh. She looks over at the huge building ahead of her, and wonders what's inside. What should she expect? She has never been in a large class before. She looks at the time. Class for her is suppose to start in five minutes. But she didn't really care about attendance. Back at home, the teachers always come to her. Whether Mina shows up or not wasn't the problem. Her parents would scold the teacher not doing his or her job.

Watching the students before her, she couldn't help but notice every slight of bad behavior. Students punching each other, exposing random bad habits, doing minor pranks. This atmosphere feels heavy, and Mina did not like it one bit.

She steps inside the large building and tried to find her way around, and starts to get breathless. The large school is too large. Due to her inactivity throughout her life, she felt her stamina decrease rapidly, so she slowly makes her way to what looks like the lecture room. As it seems to take her forever to arrive, she chooses the seat at the top, not caring who she sat beside. Was she late? Possibly. Mina wouldn't know but the teacher was already in front of the class talking away. She then noticed the boy she sat beside had messy and scruffy hair. He was chewing gum loudly and his legs were on top of the desk. He just stared at her for a while. They looked unfriendly and disturbing to Mina.

"Hi," he greeted cheerfully. Mina ignores him as he is of someone of "improper lower class".

5th April 2009, 9:45 am, 15 minutes before the class starts, Mamoru Shiro arrive at AGYD. When he looking at the front building in AGYD area, he say in his mind :"I think this is a good school and it is a good decision to come here." Then he walk away to find his classroom. On the way, he see many student talking about duel monster, but he keeps walking to find his classroom without even say "hi" to them.

Finally, he find his classroom. He see many students in the classroom and they're also talking about duel monster. Then he's looking for an empty chair that is not too many people around it, at the corner back in the classroom. 5 minutes before the class starts, he's taking out a handheld game console from his pocket and playing it. Not too long after that, he hear the classroom door slams open and a teacher walks in for morning classes. He quickly turn off the game and put it back to his pocket, then he just realize that there are many other student sitting arround him. After that, the teacher say: "Good morning everyone! I'm Mikoto Satonaka and I'll be your homeroom teacher from now on". Then he makes a little smile and say in his mind : "Finally, my journey is begin..."

Zeke was running late. After arriving at AGYD he went to the dorms and dropped off his stuff. He left quickly glancing at his schedule for where he needs to go. He runs for the classrooms. When he enters the classroom he noticed that the teacher isn’t there yet Lucky me, made it before the teacher did. He takes the closest empty seat he can find. It was near the back. He was still breathing fast when the teacher comes in and says " Good morning everyone! I'm Mikoto Satonaka and I'll be your homeroom teacher from now on”. He puts his head down and thinks about the deck he was given to. This deck is pretty bad but then again can the school really give the students really good cards… He then hears the students laughing. He looks up to see why. He sees one student go red. So this is the start of my new school...

'Y'know, it's already 9:50...'

"Shut up, Darkie. I know already. That's why I'm driving this fast," Shiko replied to the voice in her head. Well, voice isn't the right word. That would make Shiko seem... Crazy. Rather than a voice, Darkie is more of a presence. A presence that became known to Shiko four years ago. A presence that Shiko has learned to deal with after realizing she can't get rid of it.

Back to the situation at hand, Shiko woke up late for her first day at the Academy for Gifted Young Duelists. "I knew I should have just stayed up instead of going to sleep a few hours ago."

'No one told you to stay up all night and be all excited for your first day, or for you to take forever picking out your outfit and doing your make-up. Not to mention you had the option of staying at the dorm last night.'

"Excited isn't the word. It's more anxious, I suppose," Shiko responded. "You know I can't leave the apartment without having my make-up flawless and my clothes look stunning, especially for the first day of classes. And I didn't feel that staying in the dorms would be comfortable just quite yet..."

'Weirdo.'

Shiko ignored Darkie's last comment as she pulled into AGYD's campus. She followed the signs to the parking lot, which was behind the dorms. Shiko parked her car and looked at her cell phone for the time. "Chikusou! Just five minutes left until class with Ms. Satonaka! I better run for it," Shiko said to herself, only audible to anyone in the nearby vicinity. She then bolted off into the direction of the main building and toward room 3A.

When she arrived at the door, Shiko took a deep breath as the bell had just rung and opened the door. She quietly sat down at a random desk an put her bag on top of the desk. Just a moment after Shiko got situated, Ms. Satonaka walked in and greeted the class. She then called on two students to introduce themselves. Shiko chuckled a bit at Futetzu, which brings the teacher's attention to herself.

"Okay, since you seem to think that was funny, why don't you go next, Miss..."

'Hahahaha! "Miss!" Hahahaha!'

'Shut up, Darkie! Now's not the time!' Shiko snapped mentally at Darkie, causing her to pause for a moment before standing up. "My name is Aoki, Shiko. I love Dark and Spellcaster cards, as well as almost any kind of electronics. I work at an electronics store in Tokyo called Just Like New. We also sell Duel Monster cards for cheap, so stop by sometime," she stated before sitting down, her cheeks turning slightly rose-colored, as Darkie was still laughing in her head.

"Alright. Thank you, Miss Aoki. Hopefully you'll keep your laughter to yourself from now on. Moving on! I think I'll call..."

He'd been standing there for a while now, staring at the ground.. not really moving, so much as just thinking...

Why am.. I doing this without her? Why am I here, if not to show her true power to everyone..? . . What were they thinking.. I'm not cut out if she's not here..

Who was he talking about? It was anyone's guess.. But nonetheless It'd been almost thirty minutes, since he'd reached the door to his Homeroom class. Obviously, because it was nearly 10:08, as he realized once he glanced at his cell phone. Still, he stood there, having no real reason not to enter, yet.. at the same time not really having one to do the contrary.. Then he realized, and unbeknownst to himself, he actually spoke it alloud.

"She thinks I can't fight without her.. " This realization, despite being spoken amongst several mingling students, seemed incredibly private, and to that reason, Suki seemed to scowl.. To think, the one he cherished most, didn't believe in him..

Maybe.. just.. maybe, she's right.. He thought.. then a thought flashed into his head, of one of his battles, in the islands of Africa.

He was in the middle of a duel, before he had even gained the power of his other self.. He was outnumbered, in both Life Points, and monsters... All he had was one little fairy, and two cards in his hand.. He drew, and he smirked, to which his unknown assailant gasped. He set one cards, and ended.. Then the monster that had been pursuing him-- a Blue-Eyes White Ultimate Dragon to be exact-- Sent forth another attack. Then the field shrouded in light, and Suki stood, victorious, though his hand was gone. Clearly that meant something, SOMETHING.. To Suki, and it was obvious.. He frowned, as he gently slipped his cellular phone into his pocket, and gripped the Rose-marked pendant around his neck.

I.. I can do this.. Where he got this courage from, who knew? But at any rate, he gently pushed open the door to his homeroom, and was immediately greeted, by the woman at the front of the large room. He'd interrupted her, upon his entry. "I think I'll call--- Oh.. Hello, And who might you be?"

"Suki.. Suki, Uruwashii..." He spoke alloud, his confidence slowly returning. He was becoming himself again, rather fast. That facade, which had become him, was losing it's hold on his pshyche faster than expected. "Ah! Welcome then, Suki. I'm your teacher, Mikoto Satonaka, you can call me Miss Satonaka. I'll be your Homeroom teacher this semester." "Hmph, alright, nice to meet you." Obviously Suki didn't really care, and had already chosen a seat, next to a male, who seemed to be closer to his own level than most others in the room. Though he didn't know it, he'd sat down next to Takaheshi. He didn't greet him because he didn't think it was the right thing to do, nonetheless, the teacher began asking questions-- very monotonous ones-- which Suki responded to, with little to no effort, saying things like 'I don't know..' 'Yes.' Or 'No.'

He still wasn't feeling quite himself, but sought to do such, in the meantime, by glancing around, at the students surrounding himself. He saw their mundane actions to be boring, thought that they didn't have what it took to be worth his time. That was the real Suki.. And he was making a return!

Many colorful people are in this class. Taka happily thinks to himself . Though some are to taken note of. Futetzu Shira. He seems to have lost his mother. He likes frogs and appears to be very shy. Mina Marion. Seems to come from wealthy descent. Does not like people of low class. Suki Uruwashii. This man has lost someone dear to him. Lacks confidence in himself. Seems as if we have the same personality. Though I'm not too sure if the deduction is correct. Aoki, Shiko. Likes dark and spellcaster types. Works at the local electronic store. Seems to space out time to time. Also her blushing face is pretty cute..... "What the hell was that." Taka tells himself as he gasps loudly. His line of thought broken yet again. Shake it of Takaheshi. Your a man of science. Science! Science is the only thing you love. Nothing else!

This had happened before. A lady catches Taka fancy but Taka knows better than that. "The mind can beat the heart." Taka has believed in this since before. Taka first had one of these little "crush panics" as he calls them, when he was 10 years old. He learned a lot from that time. He learned that crushes and lovers are nothing but useless. Ever since then, he uses his mind to fight back his heart's emotions and this has worked to block out all feelings of love.

"Okay. I'm done." Taka mutters in triumph. Love is useless. Remember that baka!
Anyway, now that that's over, I can get back to my analysis. Taka breathes deeply for about two seconds and enters into analysis. Now, there are two other students that catch my eye. Mamoru Shiro and Zeke Akasuna. However, I do not have any data on them.
Taka wonders as he scrolls through his PDA. I'll just have to wait for more data then.

Taka has successfully blocked all romantic emotions. Well for today anyway. Though there is
a price at this. Blocking romantic emotions for a person is PERMANENT. Therefore he can
no longer become infatuated with that person, EVER. Well it's more of a bonus than a price
if you look at it from Taka's perspective. Will the day come that he can no longer control his
feelings? Or will there be someone who gives him too strong an emotion that he can not block
it? Who knows. All that matters for now is getting more data!

Once Shiko's cheeks turned to their normal, pale color, and once Darkie had stopped laughing at Shiko, Shiko looked around to observe the class. She noted the people who had already introduced themselves and those that haven't yet. She also noticed some people in the class who seemed to be less interested in being at AGYD than others. 'Why would they even come if they feel they're just going to waste their time?' Shiko asked herself in slight disgust. She decided to pay no more attention to these losers because doing so would only be a waste of her own time. Shiko then noticed out of the corner of her eye that Takaheshi was somewhat looking at her. Maybe it was just her, but she could have sworn he noticed her blushing and thought something of it. 'Did you see the way he gasped right now, Darkie? What do you think caused it?'

'I'm not sure, but I already know what you think did it. Don't forget everything that you think, I hear, Aibou,' Darkie responded with a light chuckle. Despite being together for four years, Shiko tends to forget that they're both sharing the same mind, and thus, the same thoughts. That's when Darkie reminds her, especially when calling Shiko her partner.

'Yeah, yeah...' Shiko simply responds as she notes the other students. There was a girl who looked out of place, since she was dressed in higher-class clothing, a boy who called himself Suki who had blond-colored hair and wore nice clothes, a boy with black hair and grey eyes who just cycled through the school structure deck, issued to each student about a week before today. There was also a boy with black hair and black eyes who seemed happy about being here at AGYD. There were others in the class as well, but no one that seemed to catch her eye just yet.

"Thank you, Mr. Uruwashii. If no one else would like to volunteer, I'll just continue with my roster," Ms. Satonaka addressed the class as she picked up a black binder off of her desk. She opened it up and went through the list. "Next we have -- Why, you're late for class Mr..." Ms. Satonaka stopped mid-sentence after the silver-haired boy that had just walked into her class had sat down.

"Alright, here at last." Drake smirked as he stood on his Vertical Ollie skateboard at the main gates of AGYD. His hands resting in his pockets, he moves his right foot against the ground to create momentum as he skates through the doors of the main building holding the classrooms for the gifted students. Minutes later, Drake pulls out his sidekick from his right jean pocket, checking the time. "Hmph..15 minutes late...Not bad at all." Skating up to the door of his Homeroom, Drake stands there on his board, contemplating if he should really go in.

Man, this is it. The best of the best will be here. Time to give it my all. Sliding the door open, Drake holds a straight non-readable face as his white fur-hooded jacket covers his hair, his eyes also being covered by his blue goggles. Stepping off of his board at the door, the quick reaction of his foot hitting the end of the board causes it to flip up, being caught in Drake's left hand. Lifting the board between his shoulder-blade and his left arm, Drake walks into the classroom in no hurry whatsoever as he grabs a seat in the back left handed side of the classroom. Just like I thought, a big group of people that might have talent. Smirking, Drake just leans back in his chair as the teacher begins to speak. Yawning slightly, Drake lifts his left leg up, resting his foot on the edge of the desk, balancing his unsteady leaning in his chair.

"Next we have-- Why, you're late for class Mr..."
"Lady, the names Drake...Drake, Benedict. Nice to be late by the way." Drake smirked a bit as he spoke. "Well, instead of calling me lady, you shall be addressing me by my name which is Ms. Mikoto Satonaka, but you will only be allowed to call me Ms. Satonaka."
"Ahh...Right..Right...Well, nice to meet you I suppose." Drake said as he pulled off his blue goggles, letting them rest around his neck, and above his necklace and choker.
"Now, enough of the smart talk, introduce yourself to the class." Ms. Satonaka spoke as she looked down at her class roster."

"I'm from Russia, and I've visited multiple places around the world, dueling many different individuals. I'm an artist. A natural. I like to surf, and stay in contact with modern technology. I also love skateboarding and stuff. I plan to make it big, but not without depending on her. And i you wish to know who I speak of by 'her', you can just wait and see." Smirking a bit, Drake's hood falls back off of his head as his silver colored hair can be seen as well as the blue tinted color on his edges a bit.
"Ah, nice to meet you Mr. Benedict, had wondered why you're accent seemed to be so heavy, yet you speak perfect English." Ms. Satonaka smile for a brief second before glancing down at her classroom roster once again. "Alright, Mr. Mamoru Shiro, introduce yourself to everyone.

After Ms.Satonaka greets everyone in the class, she say: "Okay! First I'll start checking attendance". Then she calls each student to stand up and introduce themselves to everyone. The first one that was called by Ms.Satonaka is Takaheshi Arisato. After he introduced himself, Mamoru then say in his mind: "Not interesting in anything??? he seems so arrogant...". As the other students stand up and introduce themselves, he see some other students who laughing at Futetzu Shira, but he neither laugh nor smile, then he say in his mind:" Is he really serious to study??". He also see Aoki, Shiko and he say in his mind : "She is a weird girl.....". Not too long after that, he is called by Ms.Satonaka to introduce himself, then he stand up and without any expression he say: " My name is Mamoru Shiro.....i like to play video games and duel monsters", then he sit down and looking at some other student in the class.

As the introduction session continue, He see some student like Mina Marion, Zeke, Suki Uruwashii, Drake Benedict the silver-haired boy, and some other student in the classroom. Then he makes a little smile and say in his mind : "There are many interesting people here....this journey will be interesting...". And the class continue......

Next was Zeke’s turn to give his introduction. “I am Zeke Akasuna. I enjoy puzzles and I practice kendo every day. My dislikes aren’t that important…” To Zeke his dislikes are important but he doesn’t feel like sharing them to the whole class, ”… and my favorite card is Red Dragon Archfiend. That is all I have to say” Zeke sits back down. He can’t explain it himself but Zeke always felt drawn to RDA. Maybe I should pay attention to what the other students have to say for themselves.

Shiko watched as the silver-haired boy who called himself Drake walked in and sat down. There was something about him that seemed... Intriguing. It could be his attitude that radiated off of him as he entered the room so nonchalantly, or it could be something else. Then he introduced himself at the teacher's request and Shiko could tell. He was from a country she had never been to. Despite how heavy his accent was, Shiko sort of found it charming.

'What's this? Does Shiko have a little crush?' Darkie teased Shiko mentally.

'No! He's just interesting. I've never met anyone from Europe before, and I like his accent...' Shiko defended herself, causing her cheeks to turn one shade redder, which wasn't too noticeable to the others in the class.

Shiko continued to look around the class to see who hadn't gone yet. The only one from Shiko's conclusions was the rich-looking girl. Shiko listened as the teacher called the next name on the roster to see if she was right.

"Okay, thank you Mr. Akasuna. Next, and last for today is Miss. Mina Marion. Please stand up and tell the class something about yourself.

Zu decided to look up and listen to what the others had to say.
He looked at a boy called Zeke. He was straight forward and didnt sund nervous at all.

Am im just the only one here who is nevous?.

Zu looked through the room, and saw a guy who looked studying at him. Zu started getting hot chicks again.

Theres a guy looking at me! What shll i do? If he challange me after school im toasted!

Zu quickly looked away. He started to look at some of the other people in the class.

i need to chek what i know about them, if i want to bet them.

Zu started to look at everyone in the class.

Takaheshi seems like an bored inteligent person. There is a girl with blond hair. She looks pretty rich (like myself). she looks like one of my sisters dolls. She seems magical...

Zu forced himself to look away from her. He was scared. He never felt this way before.

Then there is Shiko. She doesnt seem like an nice person. She was one of them who laughed at me...

Zu started getting tears in his eyes.

No i may not cry! Then they just start laugh again.
Over there is that guy called Suki. he sems rather bored too.
Marmuro looks nice, but im not really happy with that look he gave me at the start of the class.
Drake looks cool and seems to have an fashion sense. He comes from europe. Interesting, ive only been there once with my dad.

They all look tough. i would get in trouble if they dueled me...

Yawning slightly, Drake ceases leaning back in his chair. Placing his foot on the ground, Drake instead props his left arm up onto his desk. Leaning on his hand, Drake glances around at the other people around him. Not taking any interest, he discreetly pulls out his sidekick and begins texting after he propped up his right arm instead, shielding his movement from the others. "Ah..I seem to have an invitation.." Smirking, Drake glances down at the messages content. After reading the first two sentences, Drake's smirk falls into a scowl as he finishes reading the message, only to glance around the classroom once more, hoping to have a look a the person stated within the message.

Before finishing his scan, Drake's eyes falls on one girl that seems to put all of the other girls to shame..in fashion sense anyway. Smirking a bit, Drake wonders who she is, only to mentally bash himself for forgetting why he was looking around. Agh, not, I'm not suppose to be looking at a girl like that! I gotta' stay in control.. Continuing his scan once again, his eyes land on another girl, who seems to be the rich type. Ah, I believe this is the one in the message... "Miss Mina Marion, please stand and tell us about yourself." Ahh..so her name is Mina..Nice. Drake flips out his sidekick once again, only to reply to the sender of the previous message. I've found your precious Marion...What will you do now that she's right in front of me?

'So I was right. that must be Mina. I wonder why she seems somewhat exhausted, and why she seems disgusted at the boy that's sitting next to her,' Shiko thought to herself. Shiko then glanced at the white and black clock in the front of the class. 'Wow, it's already 11:20 AM. Just forty more minutes and we're free for the day. I wonder wh--' Shiko stopped mid-thought as she noticed Drake's electric blue eyes glance around the class and stop on her. He smirks, causing her to look away for a second. 'Whoa... First I had Takaheshi looking at me, now Drake? Is something wrong? What do I do?' Shiko thinks to herself rapidly. She'd never really gotten much attention from boys before, so this was definitely an overload for her.

'Aw, look at my little Shiko. She's finally growing up!' Darkie teased with a light chuckle. 'Whatever you do, you should probably act quickly.'

'Huh? Why?' Shiko asked Darkie, unsure of what she meant by that.

'Well, when you turned away he started looking at that rich girl,' Darkie said matter-of-factly.

Shiko watched Drake look at Mina and then started texting. She didn't know what to think of this, so she just minded her business for the time being. 'Maybe he knows her from somewhere, y'know. Either way, it's not like I've even spoken to him yet. Who am I to butt into his business?' Shiko asked herself as she turned forward. "I can't wait for this class to be over," Shiko muttered to herself.

Ms. Satonaka waited for Mina to stand up and introduce herself before continuing on with a warm welcome to AGYD for all the students.

AHH! It's 11:20! I'm so late, and on my first day too... WHY do these dorm beds have to be so comfortable?!
Taien Alez or 'Tai' dashed out of bed and changed into his clothes, a white t-shirt and some tatty old jeans. He sprinted out of his dorm and headed for the main building.

When he makes it to his classroom it is 11:25. Ms Satonaka looked away from talking to the class as he entered. "Ah, Mr Alez you're late.."
"I'm so sorry Ms Satonaka, It won't happen again"
"I'm sure it won't. Anyway, why don't you introduce yourself to the class?" Tai looked around the classroom for the first time. Everyone had an annoyed look on their faces. Was it because I interrupted the class, or some other reason? He found himself looking at the floor and blushing as he said "I.. I'm Taien Alez.. some people call me Tai. My interests are.. Tag Dueling and reading... Please could I go to my seat now Ms?"
"Of course, why don't you sit next to Zu? It is the only seat available anyway"
Tai headed over to the seat. He quickly glanced at Zu, he also seemed to be quite shy. At least I'm not the only one.

As the class continued, Tai became calmer. He felt like this was the place he belonged. I just hope I can make some friends.

Suki showed less than an ounce of effort as Drake made his entrence. Obviously, something about the male ticked him, he didn't know what.. but it was something. Either way, the scowl along his face, became evident within little time.

Maybe.. I shouldn't judge people so harshly.. Wait.. what was this? Was he actually contradicting himself? It was obvious as well, that Suki was still struggling to maintain his own mindset, but nonetheless, just shook it off, before redirecting his gaze to the front of the class room. "Mina--.." He'd stopped paying attention to the teacher, mid-way through her sentence. Despite the fact he'd only caught what could have been the first part, of the sedond half of the entire statement. He really didn't care.. or maybe he didn't want to, who knows?

"Hmmm'.." Oddly enough, the male who'd just entered, 'Tai' entriguied him for some reason. He casually, albeit still resting his face on his palm, turned, to glance at the door, as he entered. He winced, beforedirecting his eyes to the people around him once more, he didn't wish to dawdle.

Excellent. thinks Taka with a smirk on his face. Mamoru Shiro. Liked video games. Zeke Akatsuna. Likes puzzles and appears to study kendo. Well this data is enough, for now. Heheh. very peculiar. Taka lightly acknowledges some male entering the door. He seemed to dress in the newest fashion. "Arggg. A fashion king?" Taka mumbles beneath his breath.

The boy then introduced himself in a somewhat disrespectful manner. So his name is Drake huh. Let me add him to the database. Taka takes out his PDA and starts adding Drake to his database. Drake Benedict. Comes from Russia. Likes skateboarding and surfing. Has a very arrogant manner of speech and has a heavy accent. Seems to refer to a "her" though it is not confirmed who this "her" is.

Taka looks around the room to check if he's missed anyone interesting. His eyes befall upon
Shiko. She was blushing again. Though it wasn't as obvious as the last time but Taka's keen
sense of observation can see it. "I wonder why she's blushing." Taka mutters to himself. He then remembers that Drake was just the center of attention a few minutes ago. HIM!? Why him!? He's just some arrogant, skateboard-loving low life!

"My. My. What is this? Do i smell jealousy? Or is that just you?" Taka hears inside his head. Shut the hell up! Taka answers back at the voice. How could this be? I blocked out all romantic emotions for her. Why is my heart beating like crazy? "Maybe she's the one."
says the voice still somewhat in a teasing manner. Do you honestly believe in that stuff?
Taka replies. "Well i remember the first time i laid eyes on my first love....." Stop right
there. Taka answering in a hurried manner. "Why? You don't want to remember how we
met?"asked the voice. Dad, I don't need to remember how you and mom met. "Well
okay." says Taka's dad. "Remember: I'll always be here is you need me."

Taka then brings out his PDA and selects something called "Mind Link". He then turns this
"Mind Link" off. "Man. Can't a guy have some privacy around here?" Taka complains.
Oh. What is this? Another late student. Taka ponders as a smirk again appears on his
face. His heart had stop beating like crazy. Taizen Alez. Likes Tag Duels and reading.

Well, this day has been both good and bad. Good that I collected data on almost everyone
of interest in this class. Bad that I found a person whom I can not block my emotions for. Well
at least I'll only see her in class........

Ms. Satonaka finally made her way to Mina.

"Your turn to introduce yourself, miss," Ms Satonaka smiled. Mina frowned at her. The teachers are suppose to go up to her and introduce themselves to her. She never really had to do that for others. So she just went along as the other students have introduced themselves.

"Mina Marion," Mina responded in an airy whisper-like voice.

"What?" Ms. Satonaka encourages her to speak up, still smiling.

"Mina Marion," Mina responded in a voice that was just enough to be heard through the class.

I already don't like this system. Or this school

People seem to be talking to themselves, like there's someone within them they're talking to.

How weird.

There is a girl who laughed randomly earlier. There is a skateboarder who just came in. There are some happy-looking people, but she can't understand why they have such smiling faces such as Taka. He must be happy using that device in his hands. He didn't seem like a bad person... yet. Then there's Mamoru Shiro, who looks like a dark lord. Taien Alez, someone who ran in late. Is he one of those who like to sleep in? Mina always wakes up at the same time every day for breakfast, as her cook always made her meal. Now she cannot . Taien Alez just reminded her of that.

Drake, had the same stance as the boy next to her, just sitting casually. Someone noticable is Futetzu, who seems very nervous even by himself. Zeke likes archfiend cards, Mina takes note of it. Liking demonic cards...she knows she must stay away from him. She feels she can't associate with these people. She already knows she is different from them, but at the same time she didn't really know. Her brothers have always told her that "we can't judge a book by its cover". But sometimes Mina can see people dress a certain way and act the same way they are presented. Those words her brothers say are not always true.

Thinking about the first impressions with people like this, in the past they ignored her and usually grouped off by themselves leaving her behind when she wanted to play back when she was younger. Her parents told her she was just in a different type of class than them and it will not work out. She believes in it now and doesn't even try to get to know them, knowing it will just end in the same way as it did in the past.

"Anything else about yourself, Mina?" the instructor asked.

"...." Mina just turned away," I like...to duel," she answered. The instructor feels awkwards but moves on to the next student.

Good, don't put me on the spot ever again.

Turning his head back to the rest of the class, Drake smirks as he pays attention to Mina. Hm, such a delicate flower...I hope I won't break her. But on to more pressing matters... Drake reaches into his back pocket, pulling out the Standard Structure Deck that he had recieved a week prior to today. Going through it, Drake shows a bit of disgust. Pulling out another case from his opposite back pocket, Drake sets it next to the standard one. Hmph, my deck seems to be way powerful then this pathetic piece of crap. But who knows. I wonder how good it will fair in an actual duel.

"I hope were done with this crap, I have other things to do." Drake muttered as he then put back both of the decks in their placement prior to him removing them. With a sigh, Drake then laid his head down on the desk. Only 11:45...15 minutes left of this ....Ugh...

Glancing at Drake, whom coincidentally, had been on the opposite side of the room as himself, Suki notes him tugging out the deck boxes.

Oh yeah.. they gave us those decks.. He thought.. That's where.. It is.. He frowns, before reaching into his own right pocket, with it's corresponding hand. With a wince, he seems to grasp, and tug out the small black object which contained the very thing he loathed most about his new home.

"The school structure deck.." He frowned as he spoke. "Only one memorable card in the entire thing.. " Once this is done, Suki, with an index finger-lead flicker of his right hand, flips open the small latch, which had held the stack of cards prisoner. With his free, remaining left hand, he slips a single card, from the middle of the stack.

There you are.. The card was a dark tan on it's face.. and held the image of a golden dragon, with six serpantine wings. The only card other than Her.. That I can see myself using.. He sat like that, staring at the fully exposed card for more than three minutes.. just marveling at it's beauty..

"Prime.. Material Dragon.. How beautiful.." Surely.. SURELY, he must have been joking. Prime Material Dragon? Beautiful?.. Nonetheless, Suki spoke in a strong conviction, as if he'd seen some inner beauty within this card, that most didn't. The frown he'd had atop his face, instantly changing to a sort of wince, before becoming a full smile.

Was this the real Suki?
