hi everyone.. errr.. I have question, what is friend code and where can I get it? and sorry with my bad grammer..

To obtain your Friend Code:

Go to World Championship mode -> Friend Menu (smily face thing) -> Friend Code

Your code should be on the top screen.
You can input other people's code on the bottom.


Edit: I forgot to add.. Friend code allows you to add other duelist as friends. By adding them, you can duel with them at any time when you see them on Wi-Fi. Once you duel them, it leaves "ghost" data on your game, allowing you to duel them over and over again without having to challenge them (Of course, you can download ghosts of other players, but by having them on your friend list, it'll automatically register onto your program). Also, by having friend duelists nearby, you can trade cards and such.

It's something used if u have internet access with router. Like how u can distance urslef from using a loptop. This device is called router. Get that and an actual ds game and u can easily set it up.

I have enter it but it say, I don/t have friend code and it's 'forced' me to wi-fi conection but I cannot connect it.. how yea?

Make sure you have a wireless router. The NDS only accepts passwords set in WEP (not WPA, if you use WPA you may need to buy a USB-type-item to support it).

Set the password, and the wifi setup process on your DS should be straight forward.

how to get wireless router?? it is free or must buy it? and how to set WEP?
how about you show the tutorial to get friend code?

This is the best guide I can make.
Please answer these questions and follow the directions.
It should help solve some questions you have about routers and such.


1. If you say "I am using a desktop" -> Go to section A.

2. If you say "I am using a laptop" -> Go to section C.


A. Is your computer connected to the internet by..
Ethernet cable? -> Go to section 3
Wireless? -> Go to section 4

C. Is your laptop connected to the internet by..
Ethernet Cable -> Go to section 3
Wireless -> Go to section 4



3. Please follow your ethernet cable from the computer to the other end of the cable. Is the other end a router box or a cable box?
If router -> go to section D
If cable -> go to section E

4. This means you should have wi-fi access. If you still can not connect to wi-fi on your Nintendo DS, that means your wireless connection is most likely on WPA mode. I can not help you beyond this point unless you have Linksys wireless router.


D. Check to make sure it's a wireless router. If you have linksys, you can go to the Linksys website and look up the model number. The model number should be written on your router.

E. This means you do not use a router. If you do not have a router, you do not have wi-fi access in your house. You may want to consider purchasing one. You may need one as time goes. Talk to your parent(s).

it's time to ask your parent(s) or start Google-ing.

i see.. I not have wireless router but have a ADSL modem..

You should purchase a router if you can.
Routers are amazingly useful, and it allows multiple people to log onto the internet simultaneously.

However, there IS a case that your DSL Model is WIRELESS.
Some companies seem to be offering more and more wireless models these days.
You may want to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and ask if your modem has wireless capabilities.

It was an intro thread, but the only replying is to help with a wi-fi thing. Intros are made for just introducing urself lol. I moved it btw, because I always read new posts.
