Apprentice Magician searches my level 2 spellcasters.
Junk Synchron recycles Apprentice Magician and synchros.
I'd like something better than Frequency Magician but, I'm not sure what to put in instead.
The Tricky is there for a quick discard. It gives Junk Synchron a target, causing The Tricky to not be a -1.
If you want to look at it differently, it gives The Tricky's -1 a use. Synchroing a level 5 with Junk Synchron and the level 2 monster.

I have 13 targets for AoD.
D.D.R. can recycle my RFP'd stuff
Dark Eruption recycles my Junk Synchrons

If possible, find room for Crystal Seer. It's an Apprentice target and gives you draws and such.

Otherwise, nice deck!

Snipe Hunter discards without being a -1, as do your 3 D.D.R.s. I feel the 3 The Trickys are a bit much and would probably be better off as Monarchs or something else.
If you really wanted to use Tricky, I might even suggest Magical Dimension, since it's slightly synergistic with Junk Synchron and doesn't force you to summon Tricky by discarding.

Also, Pikeru is as useless as Spellcasters get. It's better off being replaced or just plain taken off. Frequency Magician, Old Vindictive, and Crystal Seer (if you decide to add it)should be the only Spellcasters you search with Apprentice's effect anyways.

Also, you're missing Cyber Dragon, Sangan, Heavy Storm, and Torrential. You should add them.
