Subject: Pokemon Platinum Event - Oak's Letter (Shaymin) Mon Sep 28, 2009 11:45 am
From Sept 28th - Nov 8th, on Wi-Fi you can get yourself the Oak's Letter and battle Shaymin! If you havent enabled the Wi-Fi on your DS yet, head for the 3rd floor in the Jubilife TV Building, tell the man in the glasses the following words [EVERYONE] [HAPPY] then he'll ask you another set of words tell him [Wi-Fi] [CONNECTION] then save your game, this will make the option appear (if you haven't enabled it yet). After you save your game, turn it off and click Mystery Gift and choose the option "GET VIA NINTENDO WFC". Then the Oak's Letter (not Shaymin) should appear in the drop down menu (a.k.a the touch screen). And is now available to be picked up at the PokeMart. After you obtained the Oak's Letter, head for the Victory Road, from there do you remember where the big guy who was blocked some entrance??? We'll he should be gone by now since you now the Oak's Letter, you probably may have lost me by now due to how long it is so I'll let the video speak for me. =]
Note: when you are asked to say something after you clicked on that rock you can type in anything you want. It doesnt matter. You can get the Garcedia Flower using this Shaymin, as if it was the TRU Shaymin for Diamond/Pearl.
Shaymin is at LV 030

So this only works on Platinum? I tried on Diamond and it said there weren't any gifts available or something like that.

thats because i think diamonds oak letter has already been, either that or it has yet to come but im pretty sure its already been sorry if you didnt get it

yes this only works on Platinum version only. TRU distrubted the Shaymin event for Diamond/Pearl version like about a year ago, Nintendo will probably never do another event for the same version saddly =[.
