Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Anniversary Movie Announced 2010

The November issue of V Jump magazine, which hits Japanese news stands this weekend, will formally announce a 2010 Yu-Gi-Oh! anime film commemorating the anime franchise’s 10th anniversary. The Gekijouban Yu-Gi-Oh! ~Cho-Yugo! Jiku o Koeta Kizuna~ motion picture will be a 3D anime that pits Yuugi Mutou, Judai Yuki, and Yusei Fudo – the protagonists of the three Yu-Gi-Oh! anime television series – against the new, original antagonist Paradox.
Yuugi, Judai, and Yusei will first team up in the short Yu-Gi-Oh! 10th Special anime movie that will screen this fall as part of this year’s Jump Super Anime Tour.
Technically the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime franchise is now over 11 years old, but the formal commemoration is based on the April 18, 2000 premiere of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters television series, the franchise’s second TV anime series.

Oh yes, they announced it on the November issue of V-Jump.
I'll be sure to keep this forum updated if I find any more information on it when I purchase the January issue.
I doubt there is going to be any more information on it until next year since that is when they will start filming.

My biggest fear is that they make the story so sappy in how the characters meet each other. How would one make it not lame?

Yusei "Hi! I'm from the future."
Judai "AaAAMG it's YUGI!"
Yugi "Ah, my future counterparts who can never match up to my very awesome main character-ness as I am the original!"

oh boy, let's have a quick review again.

yugi beats bakura. releases yami to its past.
jaden dueled yugi from the past of when he aquired slifer.
neo domino city is the future of yugioh in 2010. most of the people got destroyed during the momentum blast. there's still the same duel academy where jaden went.

now brainstorming this here's what i have.

Yugi have a bad nightmare (as he usually does, on the coming of Marik, Anubis or any other evil). Went back to speak to his Granpa. He's grown and look as Yami.

Jaden is traveling and apparently went to Egypt out of the blue. Clueless Jaden went in the toomb and fighting monster's spirit with Yubel, and discover the Pharos true puzzle. He wares it on his neck and got out and the place colide. As soon as he got out, the sky turns to utter darkness. (Well dhu, new evil appears).

Yusei, just won the WRGP thing, and enjoying his trophy when suddenly, a mysterious character appear and disappears. He went look for him but he got kidnapped.

Now here's how things fits in,

The Yusei gang are looking for help. They bumbed into Jaden while he's enjoying his sandwitched. Tells what happen, and Jaden decides to help since he would love to duel Yusei because dhu he's King.

Yugi was led to Jaden by the connection of the melenium puzzle. Once they met (bumped into Jaden while checking out a store of awsome rare cards) he gave back the puzzle. First he refuses, the Jaden teased him. He forgot all about the duel with Jaden and Jaden told him they've dueled before. But he didn't remembered because they used time freeze when they dueled (another new power of the melenium item). Yami secretly wiped out Yugi's memory after the duel to not have any effects on him on the future.

Then Jaden constantly bug Yugi to wear the puzzle. Boom he did. Yami appears, and his first word is "There's something wrong." Tea is a school teacher. Odd she should have been a dancer but fate had different plan. Joey and Tristan also works in the same school that they grew in as being manager. Which is why Trudge decides to go for security since he's spot got taken. Also Tristan and Joey bug trudge a lot so he went bye bye.

While investigating on the mystery of missing Yusei, Trudge and that lady reporter found the gang. Man how many are there......cant count lol.

Then they are explaining...Jaden's hungry. Bugs Yugi to duel since he wanted rematch. Can't figure his dueling for fun was never losing and keep trying. As they duel, the whole gang watches and the future characters, as soon as Yugi summons his Gods (don't know how he gots them back, as they never explain in the anime of the old yugioh how yugi been having these awsome rare cards).

Jaden lost. Another dimension was created. A reverse world of reality. Kaiba's new project, Mementum 2 got corupted and him, Jack, and Zane fused into 1 masterminded evil.

They release the mirror Yusei to duel them. He got beaten and the ultimate Evil is dueling the old characters. Odd but true Yami ride bikes with tight pants without falling but look mega hot! Then Jaden has his roler scates with his duel disk on it. The Mega evil did three things.

First he seperate everyone to their own fantasy but only makes things worst for them. Aki faces another Aki. And when one loses They com back as tokens and for each tokens the ultimate evil never loses and he kept on this survival duel with Yugi (yami) and Yaden. But they can choose to sacrifice their friends that are dueling to stay.

Aki beat her clown without no sweat. Joey was this close to lose with the pharoa and he chose to sacrifice himself after the pharoe is about to lose which makes him revive.

Tristan, Tea, Mai, Alexis all loses. Even poor crow. Then Akiza got mad. The power of all the signers went to her. She became the ultimate GODDESS OF JUDGEMENT. Destroyed Earth, and wants to destroy everything and everyone since all they do is fight one evil and move to the next. She was not aware of herself and her GODDESS form had taken over.

She sees that the main characters were losing, and she reset the whole duel. Triangle duel, and every man for themselves.

Yami Yugi won in the end, and Jaden loses on purpose after they teamed up to beat the ultimate evil. Then that ultimate evil splits and left Jack, Kaiba, and Zane dead. Everyone dead, Akiza uses the power of all the ultimate cards, Gods, Sacred Beast, and the Phantom Beasts appears from the movie to restore the world. Only that she said that the past, the present and the future must never meets, Yugi returns back to his bed only this time dreaming about good things.

Jaden, well no one knows what happens to him after he mysteriously vanishes, and they are back into the begining of the WRGP Tourney. When Yusei won special annoucement where made by a mysterious guy and shows the past duelists that emerge coutless victory with their favorite duel monsters, and in the end they mixed them up with each throwing a hand so they could meet.

heavy idea and nice, i hope that they all thinks that the main character is the enemy haha.

I was supposed to scan some Yugioh stuff for this week's issue and last week's issue of Jump,
but my scanner's not being very responsive (I need to reinstall it on my old computer, sigh)

However, information off just skimming the page,
- An interview w/ Tamura Atsushi (known as voice of Himura Yoichi on Eyeshield 21), more information on spoiler tag.

Spoiler:

- Jump is giving out OCG cards to commemorate the event.
- Also, the theme song for this movie is done by a 7 member Visual Kei J-rock band called "jealkb" and the song is called "makemagic".

In my previous post I announced that Jump will be giving out an OCG card to commemorate the release of the new movie.
At selected theaters in Japan, they will be giving out the Sin Red Eyes Black Dragon card when you watch the movie.
If you live in Japan, this is a treat you can't miss!

I think its gonna fail. 3 dimentions in one... 2 duelists have a duel spirit 1 doesnt. 1 duelist has a bike 2 dont. 1 duelist uses synchros 2 dont.

As long as its more decent than the last i guess xD i kinda do hope it doesnt fail.i suspect other wise.

I guess it will be hard for them to make it successful and with them making a bigger target (Merging 3 series into 1 movie).
