which of them would be stronger?

a hoothoot i catched at lv 4 or a noctowl i catched at lv 6 wich one of them would be stronger at lv 20? i would give them the same training and they would both have the same moves.
EDIT: hoothoot evolves into noctowl @ lv 20. just so you know.

I don't know if this is actually true because I'm to lazy too look it up but I think the Hoot-Hoot would be stronger. That is just from own experience when caching a 2nd stage evolution state rather than a 1st stage evolutin. BTW I'm glad you'r back Joshua.

well i no its wierd, but the hoot hoot would be stronger because they actualyly learn differant moves, eg take infernape and chimcher and like monferno, monferno learns flamethrower and infernape doesnt, so hoot hoot

do they, intresting, still id stick with hoot hoot, i dont really evolve my pokemon until they have good moves

Hoothoot would get more EV's (since it has to level up more), but even that wouldn't mean it's stronger because Noctowl could have better IV's. So basically, there's no way to tell until they get there.

As Zero Hero said, the answer depends on their IV's. You can give a lvl 20 Noctowl just as many EV's as a lvl 4 Hoothoot. The difference in their final stats will depend on what IV's they have.

The main reason you would want to train an unevolved pokemon over an evolved pokemon is to teach it attacks. Unevolved pokemon tend to learn attacks faster than evolved ones.
