Rate ur dueling skills

This topic is bound to come out so rate ur self 1-5, 5 being the best.

I give myself 2.5. I consider myself to be an average duelist, always trying to reach the next level.

I consider myself a 3. I'm not terribly bad, but I'm not super awesome either.

Ok, I've got it.

I rate myself a 4.
Being a "Deity" implies that I'm really good. However, in a line of "Deity"s and only being the first, I had no one to mimick or look to for help. So, I'm bound to sometimes make some mistakes.

Real Answer : 3.5
I'm above average. I can figure out what I need to play through/around my opponent's strategy and find an optimum strategy for whatever is in my hand/field/graveyard/RFP.
However, often times I make mistakes in what card I want to activate and when I want to activate it. For example, earlier today, I had a Pyramid Turtle facedown and my opponent had a Psychic Commander. (The one that allows me to pay LP to reduce my opponent's monster's ATK/DEF)
I also had a Creature Swap in my hand.
I activated Creature Swap and swapped Pyramid Turtle and Psychic Commander. However, I forgot to flip Pyramid Turtle so I had to pay LP to be able to destroy it with Psychic Commander.

Nah, kidding.

Here: 4/5 Only people here I haven't beaten are kwc, vane (although, I've only played those two once apiece), and trop (I haven't taken one duel from this guy x_x)
Otherwise: 3/5 Competent on the field, but still got plenty to learn about deck building and no real life tournament experience (although I can beat the general meta)

i'm still learning, not better than everyone here, always lost in every tourney here, got a big 0 in my rating points.......and i'm still find a way to make a better deck....

i have no idea how to rate myself, i have played Yu-Gi-Oh! for 5 years but i only make fun decks and never tried to make any meta or "powerful" decks... i guess i will tank myself as a 3,7 maybe?

I don't like to play 100% " Must win" way. I rather have fun, give the other player a chance, but that doesn't mean I want to lose.

3/5, probably. I know how to duel. Advantage and position means everything in my strategies.

But bluffing, luring, and reading are things that a true pro duelist knows how to do. Those are terms which I have yet to master, probably because of the fact that I only play Yugioh through the WC games, as opposed to real life.

Well I Would Rate Myself A 3, I THink. Ive Only Been Beaten By Less than a Hand full of People (Zero Hero Raped Me lol). I Would Say Im Prety Good, I Understand the Game Well enough to know How to make the Best of the Cards i have in my hand and on the Field.

Spent a lot of hours on this too, even to the point of figuring out how to not get dead draws on a first hand on many decks. I get about 1/8-12 dead draws averagely. I don't know if that's good enough but to me, it's good enough.

I hardly played this game because I kind of dislike the new dueling graphics, and then not having any of the old characters to duel. Maybe wc10 will make me play more.

@DcFog, Please don't type with every single word capitalized. I don't know why, but it makes it slightly more difficult to read for some reason.

I know how to read strategies if I've seen them before.
IMO, becoming better is taking the time to make good decks and having experience playing against people face-to-face.
When playing against other people over wifi, you don't get to see facial expressions while they (the opponent) are setting down facedowns and such.
That's probably why I think CPUs are so FREAKING DIFFICULT to play against.

However, I was observing some of the younger duelists at my school and I noticed many different reactions when they play a card or even draw something.
I know I don't do this. I am usually expressionless unless it's a funny duel and my opponent and I are predicting the cards we're going to draw. (For example, practicing using "Heart of the cards")

i think before i took a break at yu-gi-oh i was something like 4/5.
It's just the decks i need to firgure out how to make better strategie decks rather than "straight ahead power"ones. tho those "Straight ahead power" have helpd me out many times. but it just wont cut it agains people like KWC or DarkestDion.
EDIT: forgot to mention what score i give my self now.

if i would rate myself.....i would give myself a 2.5 or 3/5 becauze i dont really how know good or bad i am every time i duel i get dead draws and lose .

0.0001/5 yes im that horrible. as much as i like the game in reality i really suck that bad

hmm well i rate myself atleast 3-3.5, i wouldnt say that i am the best because i do lose sometimes. but im not serious on duelin, for me its all fun lol

I'd rate myself 1.5/5, no joke, I'm horrible at wifi dueling.

Here's what I learn through dueling.

1 - Speed (power draw engine, or other cards that stays on the field that gives u boost for other summons after destroy)
2 - Power (yeah 0ver 3000 damage in a turn is called power)
3 - Tactics (having only 1 card to pull a miracle like Phantom of Chaos)
4 - Defense (anything that u can assure u have ur back without too many combos such as insect barrier and DNA Surgery; most likely i look for kill or remove from play or negate summons)


Now let's see how I rate my decks here???

IN WC 2008 I mostly use top decks through dueling

Top 1 - The Infamous Gadgets : Speed, Tactics, Defense (3.0) Undefeated and faced all decks with a record of 3 years of used by me. Starting from WC 2006, then WC 2007, then KCVDS, then WC 2008
Top 2 - Short Work (Aggro Monarch): Speed, Tactics, Power, Defense (4.0) Undefeated again lol. This deck is Ingenious but sadly now that synchros are out and other decks like Lighstwon it lost its touch when facing them.
Top 3 - Perfect Cycle Horus : Speed, Tactics, Power (3.0) Undefeated and lockdown most opponent with no effect/no spells/no trap. This deck was made after they kill Perfect Cycle Monarch.
Top 4 - Necroface Burn/Mill : Speed, Tactics, Power, Defense (4.0) Was very effective in WC 2007 and was undefeated in WI-Fi back then, Then after they semi-limited it it lost its touch. Still I use it on all WC challenges. If you are a fan of my vids then u'll see I beat the last Guardian with it in Order.


Other decks I've made are Perfect Cycle Monarch/Light & Darkness then I created Virus Control with this tactics, and lastly E-Hero (which defeated all tiers from WC 2008 without trying lol)

IN WC 2009

Top 1 - Tele-Monk : Speed, Tactics, Power (3.0) Undefeated here since no one likes facing Assault Mode Stardust lol. I will molst likely use that on siding out since I know most decks acre countering it so it's the finishing touch of 2.0 before my opponent figure my strategy which I led them to believe it's just Synchro summonings. Notice the first deck is 4.0 but when switching to side it's 3.0.


That's as far as I've accomplished in my career of dueling lol.

Also I invented Primal Seed deck and uses that to be both survival duels from WC 2005 and WC 2006. In 2006 I OD in 3 days by using that deck with Inf LP by having 100 wins, and I just stop lol. The CPU couldn't stop that combo so I just stop sense there was no point to continue. When I show my friends that record they say I cheated with Action Replay.

Now that Monk is limited, I need a new deck lol.
