My own Sept 2009 banlist

These are only changes

Forbidden Cards
Dark Armed Dragon (still broken at 1)
Dark Strike Fighter (it shouldn't never have been created, everyone keep saying it needs to be at 1...)
Gladiator Beast Gyzarus (makes me sick that the other clears your field, attack, then tag again to make more nuisance)
Monster Reborn (topdecking goddess)

Restriction Cards
Blackwing Gale the Whirlwind (easy to summon and shrinklike effect, tuner)
Honest (seriously, you get a strong enough monster just to see him get destroyed, its better limited since chaining more than 1 is painful)
Judgment Dragon (at 2 was broken)
Rescue Cat (seriously...)
Tragoedia (have a gorz-like summon effect, that makes him broken as Gorz)
X-Saber Airbellum (seeing Rescue Cat summon 2 of these and take out 2 of your cards makes Deliquent Duo limit-worthy)

Semi-Restriction Cards
Mystical Space Typhoon (I don't see why its limited, it should be no longer restricted)
Emergency Teleport (gives some chances on Psychic Decks)
Cyber Dragon (He suffered enough...)

No longer restricted
Reinforcement of the Army (think of Warrior decks!)
Wall of Revealing Light (why this card was limited anyway???)

Dion, I like ur banlist but.......

First I got to admit the funny ones. "He suffered enough..." for Cyber Dragon. To tell u back then I used to run an OTK Gadget Cyber deck. Anything I do someone else is already doing it too lol.

Wall of Revealing was Restricted due to a smart kid who created a flawless Last Turn deck where he either wins or draw each turn. Won over 3 top regional tourney.

Reinforcement was put back to this ban list because of Draw Engine with Warrior archetypes that starts increasing tremendously when they unlimited. They had all types of Warriors, even DD warriors with Heroe styles. Also works on deck milling combos, and warriors have lots of good effects, ever since on the coming of the Destiny Heroes release.

I agree with everthing but DaD, Rescue Cat and Gyzarus. All of those are significantly hurt with the banlist now, Rescue Cat sees barely as much playability with a single X-Saber and DaD is fairly hard to get out unless you draw it in your starting hand. On the subject of Gyzarus .... no ... just no, Bestiari is limited but you might as well just limit Gladiator Beast Proving Ground before you ban Gyzarus. Those are my thoughts.

This is sort of how I'd like the next banlist to become, except for some.

I could put RotA at 2 maximum, see KWC's post.
Since it really can't be constantly reused, Monster Reborn is fair.

Ban DAD while only limiting Honest and JD, which are more broken? A card like DAD is best when maxed out so you have more chances of drawing it. At one, that chance is low and so it's borderline unplayable now anyway.

Deng there is only one banlist and the one made for this year to equip with the WC lists. No other additional banlist will be accepted and tghere are steps we use when we tourney holders restrict certain cards.
