How to change name

How do i change my name?
im pretty tired of being called futte

That option was removed a while back. Maybe you should talk to an admin about it.

Lol, so many people have changed thier name on this forum it's so confusing.
I have ceept my for almost 10 months even trought I hate it.
You just have to live with it. Just like your real life name.

Edit: I like "Futte" it sound fun, cool and are short and easy to say.

As Shikamaru said. Just ask one of us for a name change. Remember that when you log onto the forum, when it asks for username, you have to use your new one. (Or I think at least since it's pretty obvious?)

And to get a name that fits you'r avatar don't sound like a good idea.
Because if you get tierd at your avatar you are going to regret changing name and want to cange again.
It is like getting a tatto of your dates name.

Light is right about the confusion part. When the option for everyone to be able to change their names whenever they want, we had 10 people randomly changing their names (from under our noses) and it was tough for everyone to figure out who was who until they looked at their old posts. Especially when one "abuses" rules, they easily changed their name and it took too much time to go "find them".

Even the old members changed their names 2-4 times in the past. It took staff (and members) a while to figure out "this is them" but it was only when they post a lot. People are going to forget who you used to be (Futte) if you changed your name to lets say "starangelofdoom". They will remember the recent "starangelofdoom" but most likely not the old Futte. Do you really want people to forget who Futte is?

EDIT: I would like to use Shikamaru as an example. He used to be Noname for a few months, then he was Syrus or something. Now he is Shikamaru. Not to put him on the spot but I don't think many people know/remember or can relate those three together if they have been with us for quite a while. I remember because...I had to look up many tournament participants before to keep track of people. :study:

No it was a good example. Not putting you on the spot for "dark purposes" and I guess I made it sound evil and frusterating! (Which I didn't intend to to use the example to make you feel bad.)

I just "accused" someone I've never met for being someone else because I thought there was another name change. I just confused myself because I saw this topic and thought people were starting to change their name again, especially for the RP (I remember who you used to be Suki)

EDIT Addition on June 2: I used to do the tournament posters for our tournaments right? Some people change their name mid-way through the tournament. Then later when the people go into the "hall of fame", their name is not the same anymore. "Who is this? Is he even a member here anymore?"

Yesh, that is why name changes are tedious.
