| eversince i got my copy of pokemon emerald for my GBA i was wondering why all the games have names of jewel, i could understand somethigns cus like pokemon ruby the jewel is red and the main pokemon is red too. and like pokemon diamond the main pokemon has diamonds. i was thinking if this was the only reason for the names or is there something beside,s it? (lol didnt even know platinum was a jewel). | |

| actually, they have no specific reason for naming the stuff^_^ the developers just wanted to name them as such^_^ like the way they named the town in pokemon silver/gold after colors^_^ | |

Not ALL pokemon games have the names of jewels. Green, Red, Blue and Yellow are collors. Then came Gold, Silver and Crystal and I am prety sure that is a mineral and I think that is a different thing. Then came the jewels Ruby, Saphire and Emerald. And now we have Diamond and Pearl wich I think are jewels and Platinum wich I think are a mineral. I'm not sure I am correct with the minerals and jewels thingys... Oh well And as Webo sad they are just names. =D | |
